How do we reduce DC losses in utility-scale solar?

While conductor sizing and cable length are the most obvious variables, optimization comes from relocating more heavily loaded DC circuits closer to their termination points, whether at the inverter or DC collection equipment.
When projects approach DC loss thresholds, Revamp further refines the model by incorporating manufacturer-specific impedance data and project-specific operating temperatures. These refinements allow us to move beyond generic assumptions and design for real-world conditions.
As always, whether implementing incremental refinements or larger layout adjustments, the solution must remain aligned with project scope, performance guarantees, and overall cost.
At utility scale, marginal efficiency gains compound. Thoughtful engineering makes the difference.
